Deviant Art has a vast amount of stock and resources for people (providing they give credit where its due) like me who want to create art.But have you ever wondered or were curious to know want went into finding photos which could be suitable to use as a stock resource for others to use this could be anything from models, skies, trees, close ups of peeling paint, tree bark or even water drops. Finding good quality stock or looking for the right image for your art piece takes time so along comes the stock artists who are like the rest of us photographers and artists they provide resources such as textures, brushes, PNG's created by them for others to use. Is it easy to use stock made by you so that other people can use it well, yes and no !!!!!. Skill and a lot of trial and error are factors to take into account oh and lots of practise /coffee
Lets start exploring the world of photo-manipulations not the easiest to do but then if creating art is what you like doing allow your mind to do the thinking. So what exactly is a photo-manip well i think we all know the answer to that question, creating a manip can go from something simple to far more complex pieces of art. Take a look below at some of the works of artists who create photo-manips
Moving on to the next section when we want to create a piece of art or maybe add a new border/texture or frame to something we have already done, where do we start to look Deviant Art is home to some fantastic and talented people, want some inspiration for you next art project then take a look at some of these stock resources below.
And finally as i have now become a provider of stock & resources since setting up my own stock account i want to add pre-made backgrounds, my low activity levels is down to seeing what else i can offer as well as textures PNG's and photos. As i any way specialise mainly in creating manips i am now experimenting to see if i can create pre-made backgrounds using as many stock and resources that i can find here on DA, the plan is to create a manip like i would normally do but rather than simply blend in images/photos i am building a picture layer by layer and then finally add on model stock/PNG cutout. I would then have a second image (duplicated) in the form of a pre-made
This is a whole new different challenge and direction for me, any way please take a look at the final selection of images below which of course are premade backgrounds
